    The School of Social Work at St. Catherine University invites applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level beginning in Fall, 2018. The candidate will teach core generalist courses in our BSW program. Additional content expertise is preferred in one or more of the following areas: chemical dependency and addiction, large client systems and organizational management.

    Responsibilities:  Nine (9)-month faculty position.  Faculty are expected to teach six courses per academic year, which may include summer. Other faculty responsibilities include advising, professional activities, and requisite faculty service.

    The School of Social Work at the University of St. Thomas is a joint program with the University of St. Thomas, offering BSW, MSW and DSW programs. It is a thriving school with approximately 600 students, and is well respected in the practice community. It offers innovative programs that strive to meet community needs. The vibrant and diverse cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are well known for their cultural and social amenities and have been consistently named one of the most livable metropolitan areas in the U.S.

    Required qualifications: Doctorate in social work related field required, with ABD considered. Professional social work license eligibility. MSW degree and minimum of two years social work practice experience post MSW. Ability to articulate a scholarly agenda required. Classroom experience in accredited social work program preferred.
