The Black Doctoral Network is leading the next generation of Black scholars to reach new heights. Encouraging intellectual curiosity and transformative research, the Black Doctoral Network is a bridge leader, creating paths between scholars, disciplines, and academic universities all while its serves as an invaluable connection between higher education and the community at large.
Conference Information:
BDN2018 brings together both world renowned and emergent scholars and professionals from the social sciences, STEM and humanities to function as a resource, a support system, as a space of intellectual exchange, and a place to create connections and develop collaborations.
BDN Social:
The BDN Social this year is something you do not want to miss! This year's social will feature a DINNER BUFFET & OPEN BAR! Open Bar guests must be 21 years or older. Other guests will have access to soft drinks and water. Cost is $25 per person.

Refund Policy:
Registration fees are refundable up until Friday, August 31, 2018. No refunds will be granted starting Friday, September 1, 2018.
Hotel Accommodations:
The Black Doctoral Network Inc. has negotiated a sleeping room rate of $139/night (doubles & singles) for all Annual Conference guests at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Hotel for Thursday, Friday and surrounding nights. To receive the discounted rate of $139, you must tell the hotel that you are part of the Black Doctoral Network Conference and provide the group code: BDN.
Packages & Deliveries:
All packages may be sent to the Embassy Suites by Hilton at 4800 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28217. Packages are welcome to arrive starting Monday, October 22, however, we request that packages do not set arrive earlier as a holding fee may be charged by the hotel.
