Short Description of the Workshop:
Participants will learn about: (1) the significance of using internships to position themselves for potential career opportunities and advancement in their chosen fields; (2) the do’s and don’ts required before obtaining an internship; and (3) the steps to consider successfully navigating your internships to accomplish your educational goals and career objectives while at your host organization.
Presenter Bios:
Dr. Wright is an Associate Professor at Clark Atlanta University-Whitney M. Young, Jr., School of Social Work. Where he has spent the last 14 years as Director of Field Education helping to teach, mentor, and produce BSW and MSW social work practitioners who are equipped to be social change agents within their communities through high-impact internships in Behavioral Health and Children and Family settings.
