Conference Information:

Due to the current landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel it is in the best interest of our attendees, staff, speakers and volunteers that we host our conference ONLINE this year and postpone our return to Atlanta until the 2022 conference.

BDN2021 brings together both world renowned and emergent scholars and professionals from the social sciences, STEM and humanities to function as a resource, a support system, as a space of intellectual exchange, and a place to create connections and develop collaborations.

Keynote Speakers:

Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings is the former Kellner Family Distinguished Professor of Urban Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and faculty affiliate in the Department of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Ladson-Billings’ research examines the pedagogical practices of teachers who are successful with African American students.

Dr. Yvette McQueen is a global physician on a mission to educate about health, travel wellness and disease prevention. She is an Emergency Medicine physician and Travel Doctor; working as a physician across the US and the Caribbean. Dr. McQueen also serves as a travel group physician ensuring healthy and safe travel of the clients before and during the international trip.
