The Black Doctoral Network is leading the next generation of Black scholars to reach new heights. Conference Information:
We will be returning to an in-person conference in Atlanta, Georgia this year as BDN celebrates its 10th anniversary. We will be hosting the conference at the Sheraton Downtown Atlanta Hotel (165 Courtland St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303). 

BDN2022 brings together both world renowned and emergent scholars and professionals from the social sciences, STEM and humanities to function as a resource, a support system, as a space of intellectual exchange, and a place to create connections and develop collaborations.

To ensure that you receive accommodations at the Sheraton Downtown Atlanta Hotel, please secure your reservation as soon as possible. The Black Doctoral Network Inc. has negotiated a sleeping room rate of $139/night (doubles & singles) for all BDN Conference guests at the Sheraton Downtown Atlanta Hotel for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (surrounding dates are also available). The limited discounted hotel rooms are first come first serve. We have no control over availability beyond our initial agreement. The health and safety of our conference participants remains our highest priority. The Black Doctoral Network (BDN) is monitoring the on-going COVID-19 Pandemic and is prepared to manage our in-person events with the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees, presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, staff and guests in mind. BDN Networking Social - Thursday, October 27 @ 7PM

Enjoy our casual networking social while you listen to soft music, indulge in delicious food and drinks, and toast to your success. Feel free to bring guests to the networking social also. Dress code is business/casual. Tickets are $40 per person.

BDN 10th Anniversary Celebratory Gala - Saturday, October 29 @6PM

The BDN 10th Anniversary Celebratory Gala will be a semi-formal - cocktail event to mix and mingle with BDN's wider membership. The Gala is an event to recognize the tremendous contributions our members have made in their respective industries and local communities. Dinner will be served, two complimentary drink tickets will be provided and a cash bar will be available for additional purchases. Tickets are available for purchase ($70 per person) and guests are welcome to join but must register.    

Registration & Membership Information: 

In order to receive the member discount, please log in or join before registering for the conference. 

All registration types provide breakfast in morning and light refreshments in the afternoon for each day of the conference.

Registration fees are refundable up until September 30, 2022. No refunds will be granted starting October 1, 2022.

Presenter Information: 

All group panel presentations require at least 3 presenters. Presenters may not take part in more than one panel presentation; presenters may give one and only one paper at the conference.
